The first case has three brand new out of the factory Taros rifles. The other has three sets of Combat Field Uniforms (Taros rifles are TL5 Combat rifles, they are double the damage. Everything else is the same. To clarify that's 2d12 damage with burst capabilities.)

"Anyone against me doing the talking? I've had some training in diplomacy, admittedly not much, but you get better at it when you're trying to talk down a Hyperion sky farmer after accidentally knocking down one of his tower farms in your travels."

We treat this like a military operation, we have no guarantees that anything here is as it appears. We are outside of UNW space meeting with a supposed splinter group from a force we are currently actively at war with above a planet that is by nature hostile to Terran life. We cannot make mistakes." Tanzer points to the Comms Officer. "We will be suiting up for the meeting, notify us if anything anomalous shows up on the scan, and if the splinter group replies to us." He looks back at his two companions, face stern. "Anyone disagree with any aspects of the plan so far?"

As is, my plan would be taking the lander down a distance from the research base then skimming the surface until we are a decent walking distance from the base. The hatch opens into the grounds of the research complex. Actual grass has been planted on the grounds along with a few trees. There is a tool shed when you first enter, to your left. A barracks and a building that is clearly the lab are ahead. Both have a handful of guards, less than six in each case, standing out front in loose groups, smoking and keeping watch

Their posture would suggest they’re not expecting much of anything to happen
